Gallery Forty-Two is pleased to announce the addition of internationally-collected artist Tatiana Iliina. A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Iliina has developed a unique palette knife technique in which she blurs the line between abstract and representational paintings. She works in a variety of color palettes, ranging from bold reds, to cool blues, to muted grays in each original work of art.
Tatiana’s paintings could be interpreted as abstract, semi-abstract, or abstract landscapes, many times leaving the individual viewer to determine its subject matter. Her long, visible brushstrokes and painterly style result in richly textured, 3-dimensional canvases that reflect an array of moods and emotions.
Tatiana has lived and worked in Montreal for more than 20 years selling her paintings to various collectors all over the world. She has created monumental works in downtown Montréal, Ontario, and Russia, while also participating in numerous exhibitions throughout her exceptional career.
The gallery is currently exhibiting six original paintings by Tatiana with additional works scheduled to arrive later this year. As a keystone artist, Gallery Forty-Two will feature Tatiana’s artwork throughout the remainder of 2019 with more extensive exhibits coming in 2020.
